Scope of the Environmental Impact Assessment
Eco2 believes that projects of this type should be subjected to a full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The scope of this EIA was agreed in advance with North Lincolnshire Council. The Council asked that the EIA should consider the following issues:
- need and planning policy
- transportation
- landscape and visual impact
- ecology and nature conservation
- geology and hydrogeology
- surface waters and flood risk
- noise
- air quality
- archaeology and heritage
The results of the EIA are discussed in the Environmental Statement that was submitted with the planning application.
